AREA MAPPING

This was a mapping project for which we had to choose one area in Mumbai to map. Instead of making a typical map, the map had to showcase the aspects that were special about that area. The area that I chose to map was that of ‘Girgaon’.

The aspects I chose to show were that of the different architecture styles found there such as Baroque, Gothic, Portuguese etc. The area is known for its authentic Maharashtrian food. Girgaon is one of the most buzzing places in Mumbai and the transportation found there in the form of trains at Charni road station, numerous kaali peelis, etc. Hence I chose to show architecture as the main aspect with food and transport as additional aspects on the map.
