What is jugaad?
Jugaad is a colloquial Hindi word meaning ‘ make-shift ‘. Through this project, I wanted to show some crazy ‘jugaads’ I’ve seen in India,
The inspiration of this project was seeing a man make the most of the rains and have a shower standing below a broken parapet at the railway station.
This is how I created the illustration style. The colour combinations were made on Adobe CC
I explained each jugaad with a satirical problem and solution. I did some research on the anatomy of type and made my own typography using Adobe Illustrator for ‘JUGGAD!’
